‘The Other Maine’ is located in Maine's northernmost town of Madawaska, in the St. John River Valley, bordering the Canadian province of New Brunswick. We are situated four miles from downtown Madawaska. We offer a relaxing country setting with two rustic cabins overlooking a private one-acre pond. There is excellent fishing at nearby Long Lake in the spring, summer and winter. Autumn’s foliage is at its best for the leaf peepers. Maine also offers a variety of hunting, ranging from small game and migratory waterfowl, to large game including deer, bear, and moose. Dan is a registered Maine Guide and can help you with your individual needs. Many miles of country, as well as wilderness ATV trails, can keep vacationers of all ages entertained for days on end. When it comes to winter, we do it BEST. Enjoy snowmobiling second to none with some of the best trails and snow conditions in the entire state. All of the trails are maintained and groomed regularly by our local snowmobile club to ensure that you will be riding on the very best trails possible. Fine dining facilities can be found just off the major trail systems in the area.
There are two ski slopes within 30 minutes of our establishment. If snowshoeing is something you would like to try, we'd be glad to take you out for some heart reviving exercise. Also, a newly opened ski lodge in Madawaska provides snowshoe and cross-country ski trails to fill your heart’s desire. The people of "The Valley" are as warm and friendly as you can find!
